then the newsletter offers the opportunity to find out.
How does the association operate?
The Association
is an incorporated body under the Incorporation Act, and its
financial year runs from July 1 to 30 June.
As a way of promoting equitable representation across the
State, Regional Representatives are elected to participate
in the management of the Association. The Management Committee,
consisting of President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary
and Regional Representatives, convenes regular teleconference
meetings. The State Local Government Community Development
and Planning Conference provides an important opportunity
for members to gather in person to further the Association’s
objectives. Regional Network Meetings also afford this opportunity.
Membership demonstrates your commitment to creating vibrant,
sustainable, and empowered communities where human and social
values prevail. |
